The S*n claim Manchester United are looking at taking advantage of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang entering the final year of his contract this summer. They’re eyeing a £50m move for the Arsenal man.

According to the same report, the Gunners are keen to cash in on the striker if they can’t tie him to a new deal, rather than losing him for nothing next year. Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are both also reportedly after the 30-year-old.

It’s quite likely this is just The S*n trying to come up with a story to generate hits. With the current lack of football to report on, that wouldn’t be surprising. Even if Manchester United do want to sign Aubameyang, Arsenal should be well aware of how badly that transfer is going to reflect on them.

Maybe if United offered an absurd transfer fee, enough for Arsenal to go out and sign a younger world-class talent, that would be the only reason to even consider it. £50m is not that.

Aubameyang has 20 goals this season, following up the 31 he scored in 2018/19. He also got a Premier League nomination for Player of the Month in February. Selling him to a rival without bankrupting that rival in the process can’t happen.
