Juventus are already planning to sell Aaron Ramsey, despite signing him just last summer, according to reports in Italy.

Tuttosport (via Football-Italia) claim Juventus are looking to make a quick profit on Ramsey, after signing him last summer. They’re already preparing to sell, with the midfielder struggling to settle in this season.

The club recently sold Emre Can to Borussia Dortmund for over €20m after bringing him in on a free. They’re hoping to do the same with Ramsey.

The 29-year-old is up to 19 appearances this season, scoring a couple of goals. Those appearances only add up to 777 minutes though, the equivalent of fewer than nine matches.

Ramsey has had a couple of injury problems limiting his game-time, but that doesn’t fully explain how little he’s playing. He only started one of Juventus’ last six matches in all competitions, despite making the squad for all of them.

Is it completely ridiculous to suggest Arsenal might buy him back? Probably. The Gunners certainly couldn’t afford Ramsey’s current wages, so both parties would really have to swallow their pride to make it happen.

Then again, we know Arsenal are in the market for a midfielder. We know the team played better last season when Ramsey was in it. We know he cares about his old club.

Whether that’s enough to overlook age and injury concerns is another matter. It’s nice to dream of a glorious return for the three-time FA Cup winner though.
