Orkun Kokcu is currently represented by German outfit FTC (Football Trading Company) and is under contract with Feyenoord, where he signed new deal last March tying him to the club until 2023.

It is believed that a bid of £15m would be enough to get the Dutch side to sell, although Arsenal will have to fend off interest from around Europe if they try to sign the teenager Mikel Arteta is having tracked.

A set-piece expert with precision from range, Kokcu is known for his focus, something that can be a problem for youngsters. His tackling, however, and ability in the air isn’t the greatest, although for an attacking midfielder that’s not entirely unheard of.

Born in Haarlem in the Netherlands, Kokcu has played his entire career in his home country although he holds dual citizenship and represents Turkey at international level after switching from the Dutch u19 set-up to Turkey’s u21 side, perhaps realising it might be easier to break through with the Turks. He has not yet earned a senior cap, however. Then again, he only turned 19 at the end of 2019.

Kokcu has been with Feyenoord since he was 13. Promoted to the first team at the start of the 18/19 season, he has seven goals and eight assists from 41 games, averaging 70 minutes per game.

He scored 15 with seven assists in the same number of games for their u21s.
