Eddie Nketiah will make a decision over his next loan club in the next 48 hours, with four sides from the Championship and Premier League after him.

The Daily Mail claim Nketiah will choose his next loan club in the next two days. The striker spent the first half of the campaign with Leeds, but he returned to Arsenal in January in search of another loan move.

From the Premier League, Aston Villa are after him as they slip into the relegation zone. In the Championship, playoff hopefuls Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City are all in for him.

It’s a nice confidence boost to have so many teams nearer the top of the football pyramid chasing Nketiah’s signature. Despite Leeds only giving him two Championship starts, that hasn’t put the top teams in the division off.

The chance to play for Aston Villa in the Premier League could be even more appealing. The opportunity for a test against all the same clubs Arsenal will face may well appeal to Nketiah. That’s only if they can guarantee game time though.

Villa are currently dealing with the loss of Wesley to injury, so they might have games for Nketiah. They lack traditional centre-forward options – which is why winger Anwar El Ghazi was their most advanced player against Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta says the club are thinking ‘medium to long term’ with Nketiah, so Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s three-game suspension won’t affect whether they loan him or not.

Nketiah scored five goals in 19 appearances for Leeds, making just four starts in all competitions.
