FussballTransfers report that Granit Xhaka has an agreement with Hertha BSC to join them in January.

There’s no agreement between Hertha and Arsenal at this stage, though the Bundesliga club have made a concrete offer. FT suggest all parties should clarify the details soon.

The German outlet adds that it’s Xhaka’s ‘wish’ for a new challenge after irreparable damage to his relationship with the fans.

Recent reports suggest Xhaka already told his teammates he’s on the way out. Various sources suggested he’s in talks with Hertha BSC over a deal with a “financially sensible package”. The suggestion is a fee in the region of €20-30m.

For now, the 27-year-old continues to play for Arsenal. Bar his recent absence through concussion, Xhaka is starting every game at the moment.

We still need a more reliable source to come out on the Xhaka rumours. His agent refuses to comment and we haven’t heard anything from the likes of David Ornstein or other top Arsenal journalists. It does seem like a move could be on the cards though.
