Josh Dasilva joins Jarrod Bowen, Jack Harrison and Brice Samba on the list of November nominations for the official Player of the Month award.

The midfielder made five appearances for Brentford in November, starting four times. Despite his position as a deep-lying midfielder, he scored four goals and assisted one in those four starts.

That included a first career hat-trick at senior level, and it was all in addition to his usual strength – passing. The 21-year-old is from the Arsenal academy after all, and his precise through balls add a lot to his team.

Dasilva left Arsenal in 2018, after winning the Premier League 2 title with the club in his final season.

His contract expired at the end of that campaign, and despite making three appearances for the Gunners’ first team, he felt he’d get a better shot at senior football somewhere else.

The midfielder had to work his way into the team, but he’s certainly a regular now. A Player of the Month award would be a fair reward for his recent efforts.
