Former Arsenal academy midfielder Josh Dasilva kept up his strong recent form for Brentford with another goal on Saturday, scoring from distance.

Dasilva was part of the Arsenal u23 side that won the 2017/18 Premier League 2, often captaining the team, but he left for Brentford and the promise of a pathway to first-team football that summer.

Though it took a long while for the midfielder to get into the Brentford team, he’s making his mark in his second season with 13 appearances and three goals so far.

The latest of those goals was an impressive effort from distance, as Dasilva won man-of-the-match in a 3-0 win over Wigan:

The 21-year-old also won Brentford’s Goal of the Month prize for October over the weekend. He’s not the most prolific goalscorer around, but when he does score they’re usually worth a watch.

As well as the goals, Dasilva pulled off an excellent piece of skill in a game last month, which we covered at the time.

With six starts in Brentford’s seven league games since the start of October, three goals and a good number of impressive performances, it’s going to be hard for the former Gunner’s new club to justify going back to leaving him out.
