Football Insider claim a source has informed them Arsenal have been scouting Szoboszlai regularly this season, and they’ll continue to do so ahead of the winter window.

The Gunners reportedly offered £9m in the summer, but were told they’d have to pay £15m for the player wanted by Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus, Inter Milan and Lazio as well.

RB Salzburg were keen to hold onto Szoboszlai for the Champions League group stages, but the suggestion is they might be more willing to let him go in January. Napoli and Liverpool look like eliminating Salzburg as things stand, at which point they’d join Arsenal in the Europa League anyway.

This isn’t the first we’ve heard of interest in Szoboszlai. Reports in February suggested Arsenal had already been following Szoboszlai for a long time even at that stage. Then there were further claims of scouting in September and again in October.

Football.London reported previously that Arsenal made an approach for Szoboszlai this summer, ahead of a move at the end of the season.

The Hungarian international has four goals and four assists in 14 club matches this season, mostly playing wide on the left-hand side.
