Arsenal are interested in RB Salzburg duo Dominik Szoboszlai and Erling Haaland, though they aren’t short of rivals for the signature of either player.

Football.london report that Arsenal have been tracking the progress of Salzburg’s teenage stars Szoboszlai and Haaland, who both featured in a 6-2 Champions League win over Gent on Tuesday.

The Gunners made an approach for Szoboszlai over the summer, with a view to a move at the end of the coming season. They were aware that the player wishes to spend at least one more year in Austria developing before moving on.

Juventus and Inter Milan are also interested, but Arsenal have the upper hand at this stage.

As for Haaland, unfortunately, there’s going to be a tonne of competition already building for the striker’s signature. He’s now scored 17 goals and assisted five in nine games in 2019/20, and a Champions League hat-trick has really put him on the map.

The striker made his debut for Norway’s senior side this month, after scoring nine goals in one game for the u20s over the summer.

We reported on claims from Norway last summer that Arsenal had sent scouts to watch then 17-year-old striker Haaland with his former club Molde. The Gunners were one of a number of interested clubs, but the player chose Salzburg this January.

If the pair want to tone down their exploits in Europe for the rest of the group stage, that would really help negotiations.
