4 best and 2 worst: Arsenal October player ratings

Arsenal played six matches in October, winning three, losing two (one on penalties), and drawing one, scoring 15 and conceding 10 in the process, but who was the overall best and worst players from the month in Arsenal’s October player ratings?

It was an eventful month, to say the least.

We had the Granit Xhaka debacle, Mesut Ozil returning to the side and Unai Emery taking credit for improving him, while Nicolas Pepe hit form only to be benched as soon as the month was out and Unai Emery ran out of credit with the overwhelming majority of the Arsenal fanbase.

It was a close contest last month between Matteo Guendouzi, who picked up a total of 38.5 points from a possible 60 and Gabriel Martinelli, who played 309 of the available 540 minutes, and picked up 37.8 points.

Dani Ceballos was in third place with 36.5 with Nicolas Pepe, making a late surge, took fourth place with 35.5.

Arsenal’s worst player in October

Of the players who played regularly during October, Granit Xhaka and Sokratis tied for worst player with just 16 points each.

Other players scored fewer, such as Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette, but, as we know, they both had valid reasons for scoring so few points.
