Maier has played all 270 minutes for Arsenal in the league this season so far, helping the side keep two cleansheets.

Translated, it reads, “Due to knee problems Leonie Maier cannot compete against the two European Championship qualifiers Ukraine and Greece. National coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg has for Tabea Waßmuth of the @FrauenTSG re-nominated. For the 23-year-old, it is the first call. WE #IMTEAM”

Maier signed for Arsenal at the end of May, joining from Bayern Munich whom she joined in 2013 from SC 07 Bad Neuenahr after a year with VfL Sndelfingen.
