Arsenal are set to send scouts to watch Dominik Szoboszlai with Red Bull Salzburg again this week, as his team face Liverpool in the Champions League.

Reports in February suggested Arsenal had already been following Szoboszlai for a long time even at that stage, but the Gunners appear to have picked up their interest recently.

In September, further claims from the English media suggested Arsenal had been scouting Szoboszlai in Salzburg’s recent Champions League win over Gent. Now, the Daily Mail report that they’re sending representatives to watch him again on Wednesday.

Szoboszlai has three goals and three assists in 10 appearances for Salzburg this season, though you suspect the Premier League leaders will supply a far tougher test for him and his team.

If he comes through the match with another impressive performance, plenty of clubs around Europe will start to take notice, not just Arsenal.

Football.London reported previously that Arsenal made an approach for Szoboszlai this summer, ahead of a move at the end of the season.

They knew the player would want to spend one more year in Austria but hope that by showing their interest early, they now have an advantage over his other suitors.
