Lia Walti has returned to full first team training almost exactly five months to the day after knee surgery.

Lia Walti signed for Arsenal last year but picked up an LCL injury in April that required surgery to reconstruct the lateral ligaments.

At the time, it was claimed she could be out for around nine months, but just five months later she’s back in full training:

Arsenal, of course, face Fiorentina in their Champions League return on Thursday night and there is no way that Walti will be involved.

It is unclear when we will see her back playing but with Jordan Nobbs getting her competitive return this weekend in the season opener, we might not have to wait too long.
