Dani Ceballos has endeared himself even further to Arsenal fans after referring to Santi Cazorla as ‘king’.

Dani Ceballos ha done nothing but impress since arriving at Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid and with his Man of the Match performance against Burnley last weekend, comparisons were quickly made between the 23-year-old and one of Arsenal’s favourite former players – Santi Cazorla.

High praise indeed after such a short time.

But Ceballos is showing no signs of getting carried away with the comparison, taking to Twitter to say, “The king is still Santi Cazorla I still have a lot to learn to become like him.”

It’s not clear what will happen at the end of Ceballos’ loan as Arsenal have no purchase option.

Should Zidane move on from Real Madrid there is every chance the club will demand a new manager instill Ceballos into the side. Despite Zidane’s assertions there is no problem between him and the player, it is likely he would have sanctioned the Spaniard’s permanent departure from the club this summer.

President Florentino Perez, however, is a massive Ceballos fan.

Ceballos, for his part, looks determined to show Zidane he is good enough to be in the first team in Madrid. That will benefit Arsenal this season, no doubt, but also points towards a painful departure next summer and another big hole to fill once again with no sale revenue to do it with.
