Galatasaray are no longer interested in a move for Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, according to reports.

Reports earlier in the week suggested Galatasaray had made Elneny an offer to join them before the transfer window closes in a few days’ time. However, their offer was a poor one, only stumping up around half of the Egyptian’s current wages and failing to impress Arsenal with a decent transfer fee proposal.

Unsurprisingly, Dean Jones of Bleacher Report now claims Galatasaray are no longer after Elneny, though he adds that Besiktas and Fenerbahce are still interested.

Rumours in France this week put forward Bordeaux as another possible transfer destination for the midfielder. After failing to finalise a deal for AS Monaco’s Youssef Ait-Bennasser, Bordeaux are considering signing their second Arsenal player of the summer instead.

Elneny’s father Nasser told the Egyptian media he didn’t like the idea of his son moving to Turkey or France, but the only real alternative right now is remaining in the reserves with Arsenal.

Nasser Elneny’s ideal scenario – his son remaining in the Premier League – is impossible if he leaves the Gunners, considering the English window is closed already.
