Sky Sports are reporting that Bayern Munich are interested in signing Arsenal’s Joe Willock but they’ve absolutely no chance of signing the 19-year-old.

Joe Willock, planted in compost so he could double in size over the summer, has looked like a player who has had more than a growth spurt since we saw him last season.

The standout youngster of pre-season, it’s no surprise that clubs are interested in him, especially German ones who’ve decided to sign as many young English players as possible.

Given Bayern Munich’s backdoor deal to sign Serge Gnabry, and how well he’s done since leaving the club, it’s hard to see Arsenal entertaining any sort of offer for Willock.

On the verge of a proper breakthrough into the first team, it’s hard to see his head being turned by the move either.

Willock last signed a new Arsenal contract in 2017 and it could well be that there’s another on its way, such as was given to Tyreece John-Jules recently, and that is behind this rumour.

As it stands, I’d be less surprised at Philippe Coutinho rocking up at Arsenal than I would be at Arsenal letting Joe Willock go to Bayern Munich.
