According to the Times, Wolves have placed a £30m bid on the table for a player Arsenal are still said to be trying to sign and with the cashflow problems in play in North London, Wolves certainly will have the upperhand when it comes to the fee they cn pay immediately (I assume).

Arsenal’s need for a new centreback is set to grow imminently with the departure of Laurent Koscielny for £5m to Bordeaux.

Alredy in need of defenders, the have purchased one but sent him out on loan.

There had been reports on Tuesday that Arsenal were still hopeful of being able to sort something out with Juventus but that has been complicated by Wolves’ bid.

Of course, and I say this with the greatest respect to Wolves, signing for Arsenal would be an entirely different proposition than signing at Molineaux. Don’t make me have to explain why.

The Times also report that the player has been told he can leave and that Arsenal need to change the terms of their offer.

There have also been reports of Arsenal bidding £55m for Dayot Upamecano which originated with Bild in Germany. The Guardian, however, say Arsenal have inquired but not yet bid for the player who is valued by his club at €70m.
