According to L’Equipe, Laurent Koscielny will sign for Bordeaux after a medical on Tuesday.

At this point, L’Equipe offer few other details but Bordeaux was seen as an attractive option for Koscielny who also wants to coach there.

The Arsenal captain refused to travel to the States for Arsenal’s pre-season tour and has been telling everybody he’s available for free even though he has a year left on his Arsenal contract.

It’s not clear yet how much Arsenal have got Bordeaux to pay but it certainly won’t be the £10m they wanted. The defender’s stance really screwed Arsenal and their ability to get a decent fee for a player who has been with us for almost a decade.

ESPN are currently reporting that the fee will be €5m.
