Fenerbahce are the latest side to be linked with a loan move for Shkodran Mustafi as it becomes even clearer the German is not wanted at Arsenal.

Bye Mustafi2

For the second Premier League match in a row, Shkodran Mustafi, despite being fit, was not included in the Arsenal matchday squad. That’s a pretty clear message. Added to Unai Emery’s comments last week that they could let him leave before the end of the window, the message has been sent – find a new home.

Earlier this week it was reported that Roma were interested and now Fenerbahce are in the mix. The only problem there is Fenerbahce, like Galatasaray, seem to get a kick out of having their names linked with a lot of players but never seem to show much follow-through.

Mustafi’s £90kpw Arsenal wages are likely to be what’s holding up any move. He’s under no obligation to take a paycut and Arsenal may have to subsidise his wages quite significantly to get him out the door.
