Arsenal have reportedly offered Barcelona €30m for Malcom, a player they bought last summer for €40m and now want €50m for even though they don’t think he’s good enough.

Arsenal have been linked with Malcom for what feels like forever. The 22-year-old opted to ignore interest from the Premier League last summer and sign for Barcelona in a move that cost the Spanish side £36.9m.

Since then, he’s played just 15 league games for them (with one goal and two assists) and his future has been the source of constant speculation.

Arsenal reportedly enquired about him in the January window but as Barcelona weren’t inclined to take smarties for him and Arsenal only wanted him on loan, we ended up with Denis Suarez instead. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Now, in their search for a winger, they have reportedly returned and placed an offer on the table.

Barcelona are reportedly set to hold talks with the player to inform him of their plans for him. Will the coach change his mind and find a place or him or will he be put up for sale?

It’s hard to tell at this point but it is unlikely the player is going to want to give up on life with Barcelona after just one season and we all know Arsenal can’t afford him anyway.
