Arsenal have reportedly made contact with FC Barcelona over the loan signing of 21-year-old winger Malcom, according to Alan Nixon.

Alan Nixon, of The S*n, claims Arsenal are hoping to bring Malcom to North London before deadline day. They’ve reportedly been in contact with Barcelona over a loan move, which they discussed during negotiations over Denis Suarez.
Barca manager Ernesto Valverde clearly doesn’t rate Malcom highly, having only given him 118 minutes of La Liga game time all season, but the club’s hierarchy still think the Brazilian has a future in Spain. As a result, a loan move might help to please both parties for the time being.
In order for the Catalan club to consider a sale, Arsenal would have to offer around £50m. The S*n claim that’s a fee The Gunners would consider paying for Malcom’s services, but presumably only in the summer.
Meanwhile, AC Milan have also reportedly made contact over a loan move, and Barcelona would consider sending the young winger to a fellow La Liga side too.

Given the main source of this information is a journalist for The S*n, it’s probably best not to take it seriously until we hear the same reports from elsewhere. At the same time, a loan move for Malcom would make a large amount of sense, and Arsenal would likely be keen on adding his services. We’ll see in the next few days.
