Arsenal and Celtic are believed to be slowly inching towards an agreement and a third bid from the Gunners that is likely to be accepted by the Scottish Champions.

Reports on Wednesday also claimed that Celtic were prepared to let him leave and that the player wanted a move to the Premier League.

Now we also have McGowan saying:

Celtic beat Kaliju from Estonia 2-0 in Champions League qualifying on Tuesday night however Tierney is currently recovering from a hip problem and played no part.

He is expected to return to training sometime in August.

Celtic, meanwhile, travel to Romania next week to face FC Cluj in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

The first leg will be played on 6 August while the return fixture will take place in Glasgow on 13 August.
