The player just signed for AC Milan for £21.6m after two years on loan with the club but that isn’t stopping others from sniffing around, mostly because of FFP.

Milan had an obligation to buy the 22-year-old but many believe they would happily sell him immediately if they could make a quick profit. It is claimed they want around €35m.

It’s unlikely they will get that from Arsenal, especially not for a defensive midfielder.

Kessie plays in central midfield for Milan and he scored seven goals and assisted two this season. However, he does have a tendency to concede possession in dangerous areas, in the way Granit Xhaka gets so much stick for.

The player has been linked with a move to Arsenal since at least 2016.
