Christopher Nkunku has put his move to RB Leipzig on hold as he reportedly waits for an offer from Arsenal according to L’Equipe.

Christopher Nkunku has been linked on and off with Arsenal since January but it looked as if he was on his way to RB Leipzig for €15m.

Not so, according to L’Equipe who report in their Monday edition that, “Christopher Nkunku (21 years old) is not yet a player in Leipzig…the player has asked for a time of reflection. Waiting for another club and that the interest from Arsenal will be accompanied by an offer?”

It was reported at the end of June that the PSG midfielder would be heading to RB Leipzig while Arsenal were still said to be ‘monitoring’ the situation.

He had, apparently, agreed a five-year deal but reports in Germany weren’t as certain the deal was as done as RMC wanted people to believe.

A midfielder who can play at right wing-back, the player would certainly tick a lot of boxes at Arsenal.

Will they finally make a late move? I guess we will have to wait and see but you do wonder why they haven’t moved by now if they were going to.
