Arsenal, as you know, are looking for a centreback. A number of names have been thrown around but Armando Izzo is a new one that only appeared this weekend and it’s taken no time at all for him to be linked with other Premier League sides as well.

The 27-year-old currently plays for Torino where he is under contract until 2022. He is valued at around £18m however the Italians want between €25m and €30m (£26.7m). Ideally, they’d like to keep him for another year.

Izzo’s agent, Paolo Palermo, was reportedly in London this week for ‘advanced talks’ with Arsenal over his signing. According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio are also interested but United and Everton have moved to take advantage of his agent being in England.

The right-footer only signed for Torino last summer when he moved from Genoa for £8.1m.

He scored four goals, with one assist, in 37 Serie A games last season and is a full Italy international having made his debut in March against Liechtenstein.
