Arsenal, as you know, are looking for a centreback. A number of names have been thrown around but Armando Izzo is a new one.

The 27-year-old currently plays for Torino where he is under contract until 2022 and is valued at around £18m however the Italians wants around €30m (£26.7m).

Izzo’s agent, Paolo Palermo, was reportedly in London this week for ‘advanced talks’ with Arsenal over his signing.

The right-footer only signed for Torino last summer when he moved from Genoa for £8.1m.

He scored four goals, with one assist, in 37 Serie A games last season and is a full Italy international having made his debut in March against Liechtenstein.
