Lucas Torreira has returned to training with Uruguay after suffering from a stomach problem and has admitted he’s happy at Arsenal.

Torreira missed out on Uruguay’s last game against Chile which they won 1-0 and it seems he’s been suffering from a dodgy tummy.

“I am a little better,” Torreira said. “I do not know what happened to me, but it left me two days in bed.”

He also admitted he lost three kilos, so I think we all know he didn’t spend all of those two days just in bed.

The Arsenal midfielder has been the subject of heavy speculation claiming he’s not happy at Arsenal. As I’ve said all along, it is a mixture of AC Milan’s PR machine and people being mischievous with quotes from the 23-year-old.

Now, the player has spoken out about all the nonsense and his message is pretty clear:

This is unlikely to kill the speculation as it’s just not as good a story as ‘unhappy player wants to leave Arsenal’.

I fully expect Lucas Torreira to be an Arsenal player next season no matter how much some in the media claim the club are asking for him.
