Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Julian Weigl from Borussia Dortmund, a player Sven Mislintat recommended when he was at the club.

Back in November, before Mislintat left and when things seemed more harmonious, the transfer guru advised Arsenal to make a move for Borussia Dortmund star Julian Weigl and take advantage of the midfielder’s lack of game time last season.

The defensive midfielder, who can also play at centre back or in central midfield ended the season playing in just 18 Bundesliga matches and 25 overall.

With transfers totalling close to €130m arriving this summer, Dortmund have decided they are now open to selling Weigl although his manager, Lucien Favre, would quite like to keep him.

An offer of around €30m would reportedly be enough to get him out of Germany.

Along with Arsenal’s reported interest, PSG are said to be eyeing up the payer and it is there that Sky Germany think he will go.
