Over the weekend it was reported that Hamburg had tabled an offer for Jordi Osei-Tutu.

Now, The S*n claim that the club are getting ready to offer him a new deal while they work out what to do with him. He is also wanted by Brentford and Celtic on loan. Sell or loan? They just aren’t sure.

Osei-Tutu signed a new contract with Arsenal in 2017 although it was never clear how long that tied him to the club for. As he has neither been released nor re-signed at present, we can assume it was for at least three years.

Arsenal signed Osei-Tutu from Reading in 2015 for a fee of around £100,000 (and a significant sell-on clause also likely included in the deal).

With Freddie Ljungberg’s promotion to the first team, we can hope he brings with him more detailed reports of Osei-Tutu’s talent.

It would be a real shame for the club to lose yet another youngster packed full of promise.

The 20-year-old has yet to make his competitive debut for Arsenal but featured in the matchday squad when he was on the bench for the two games against Red Star in 17/18 and Vorskla in November.

He has also been named on the bench in two Premier League squads, one FA Cup and one League Cup but Unai Emery only made one of those seven calls.
