Jordi Osei-Tutu has signed a contract extension with Arsenal as Joseph Olowu signs his first professional contract.

Further to the announcements of new deals for Eddie Nketiah, Ben Sheaf and Matt Macey earlier this week, the Arsenal club website has now revealed that two more youngsters have put pen to paper on new deals.

Osei-Tutu, 19, has been playing at right wing-back in the current campaign, and his progress on the pitch with the academy has led to three senior call ups in the League Cup and Europa League.

The emergence of Reiss Nelson, and Wenger’s insistence on playing him at wing-back, has kept Jordi from getting any game-time for the first team so far, but these bench appearances show he’s getting closer. As a result of this progress, he’s signed a new deal, the length of which is undisclosed.

Meanwhile, Olowu started the season playing for the u18s, but after captaining the young side back in September, Joseph has since made the step up to the u23s.

He’s a centre-back, but he’s also good on the ball, which will help him in his search for first team football. An academy graduate, Olowu turned 18 in November, and has signed his first professional contract with the club.

We congratulate both players and wish them the best with their continued development.
