David Ospina to Napoli could be off again with the Italians ‘refusing to be held to ransom’ in a transfer nobody really gives two stuffs about.

Yawn. David Ospina should already be a Napoli player by now but they benched him after 24 games so they could get out of paying €3.5m if he played 25.

They want him for less than that yet are, reportedly, accusing Arsenal of holding THEM to ransom.

No matter your opinion of Ospina as an Arsenal keeper, the fact is he’s a 30-year-old first-choice international that served Napoli well for the entire season and €3.5m is a fricken steal. They have repeatedly said they want to sign him, Ospina himself has spoken about his desire to stay there and his father has also told us he expects a deal to be done.

There is no future at Arsenal for the Colombian but I have to say Napoli’s behaviour, if accurately reported in the press in Italy, is starting to take the absolute p*ss now, especially when you consider that Real Sociedad seem prepared to pay much more for him.
