Arsenal’s Silvana Flores was named Best Player at the Sud Ladies Cup and you can now see the 17-year-old’s highlights in the video below.
The Sud Ladies Cup is the female tournament created by the renowned Toulon tournament’s organisers. It is an u-20 tournament used by teams to prepare for the u-20 World Cup.
Silvana was also named in the best XI team of the tournament:
Mexico, her home nation, finished in fourth place with six points.
Silvana is the oldest of three Flores’ kids at Arsenal, with her sister Tatiana and her brother Marcelo also wearing the red and white.
15-year-old Marcelo featured heavily for Mexico as they finished runners-up to Argentina in the Montaigu Tournament in April.
Marcelo featured in all three group games, coming off the bench in the second half of each to play on the right-hand side. Flores’ performances clearly impressed the Mexico head coach, who then selected him for the starting lineup in the final against Argentina.
Tatiana was actually the first to join the club last summer when she signed as a 12-year-old. At that point, both Silvana and Marcelo had rejected moves to Arsenal before she signed.
A striker, Tatiana has been called up by the England u14 squad despite her dual Canadian-Mexican status.
They all qualify for the Three Lions through their grandparents.
