Arsenal have signed 12-year-old Tatiana Flores for the u14 squad.

Trying to work out what was happening with this story was slightly confusing. As I spotted it in the publication El Informador this morning, I knew it all sounded somewhat familiar.

Checking the site I found an article I had written back in February about the Flores kids.

At that time Silvana Flores, 14, said she turned down the chance to sign for Arsenal in order to stay in Essex. Her brother, Marcelo, who was 13, was playing for Ipswich and had also turned down several major clubs.

With dual nationality, Silvana opted to represent Mexico, the country of their father while Marcelo chose Canada, the country of their birth.

A little further digging quickly revealed that Tatiana is the younger sister of the pair.

Tatiana, a striker, has also been called up by the England u14 squad despite her dual Canadian-Mexican status.

She qualifies for England through her grandparents.
