We all know that Petr Cech is hanging up his boots after the Europa League final in Baku against Chelsea. What he will do from there is up for debate but there has been strong speculation that Chelsea want him back since January while Arsenal want him to stay to fulfil an as-yet-unspecified backroom role.

Tuesday saw a story spread widely online claiming Cech had made up his mind to return to Chelsea.

Not so it seems according to the player himself who tweeted,

Cech spent 11 years at Stamford Bridge so it would not be a surprise to see him return there. No matter how highly thought of he is at Arsenal, Chelsea is really his club.

But, as we can see, no decision has been made quite yet.

Also, Olivier Giroud, fresh from admitting his blood now runs blue, has signed an extension with Chelsea that will see him stay at Stamford Bridge until the end of next season.
