Arsenal are being linked again with a move for Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure who had dropped off the radar a bit.

Back in September Abdoulaye Doucoure said he didn’t believe the stories linking him with Arsenal were true and there has been silence on that front ever since.

That is until a number of publications on Saturday wrote that the player’s form has got Arsenal, along with Chelsea and PSG, considering a £50m-move.

It does seem likely that the 26-year-old, who is under contract until 2023, will move on this summer. He recently said, “The main thing is I want to stay in the Premier League. I think this is the best league for me for my qualities so this is my main target to stay here.”

£50m represents a £10m increase on the price being floated at the start of the season. The player admitted in an interview in France that he prefers Arsenal over Spurs, making it incredibly easy to then link him with a move from Watford.

Arsenal don’t have £50m to spend on all the players, let alone one.
