Wojciech Szczesny is being linked with a move back to the Premier League by the Italian press who seem to think he could leave Juventus this summer and, if he leaves, they want David de Gea to replace him.

When Arsenal sold Wojciech Szczesny to Juventus in 2017 pretty much everybody here at Daily Cannon was furious. We’ve always been huge fans of the Pole and knew there was a world-class keeper inside him, being suppressed by Gerry Peyton.

The thought, then, that he could rock up at Old Trafford or another Premier League ground is infuriating, however, it is unlikely to happen unless Juventus are offered a fee for the 29-year-old that is impossible to turn down.

Szczesny went to Turin in the understanding that he would become the long-term replacement for Gianluigi Buffon so he is unlikely to be looking for an exit. He has spoken frequently about his desire to stay there long-term despite wanting to stay at Arsenal his whole career.

Rai Sport claim he is considering leaving and, if he does, Juve will try to sign David de Gea to replace him.

This all seems highly unlikely.

Then again, I thought that about Arsenal selling Woj in the first place.
