If Arsenal fans are talking about one thing it is that Shkodran Mustafi needs to leave the club in the summer but do you know that at the start of the season he admitted nobody had been telling him what he needed to work on?

When Unai Emery arrived at the club last summer, Musafi described the differences for him now working under the Spaniard compared to Arsene Wenger.

“He told me the positives in my game and what to work on,” Mustafi said. “I’m happy because it’s difficult when you never know what to work on because no one tells you.”

This makes me scratch my head.

While we all knew that Musatfi was prone to errors and brainfarts, these seem to have intensified this season despite apparently having his flaws pointed out.

As I was looking through older articles we’ve written about Mustafi I came across one from May last year in which there were reports that Mustafi was said to be facing the ire of his teammates for always blaming others when Arsenal concede goals.

“Defender Shkodran Mustafi has also been fingered because he always passes the blame on to other players when Arsenal concede goals,” The S*n reported.Mustafi is happy to blame everyone but himself for the shoddy goals Arsenal continue to concede.”

We certainly saw that again on Sunday against Palace as he screamed at Bernd Leno despite being responsible for the shambles himself.

At this point, it seems clear that whatever it is inside Mustafi that allows him to both act like an idiot and then blame others is not going to change.

Thankfully, it has been rumoured for most of the season that he will be sold when the window opens in the summer. There even seem to be a few clubs interested in him in Juventus, Roma and Galatasaray.
