Arsenal fans will be relieved to know that Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny should be fit to face Everton on Sunday.
Ramsey was taken off in the second half with what looked like a recurrence of the thigh problem that saw him sent home by Wales but turned out to just be cramp.
Laurent Koscielny was not involved at all, along with Granit Xhaka who picked up a thigh problem with Switzerland.
Speaking after the game against Newcastle, Unai Emery said, “We started Friday with not good news with Xhaka, he has a small injury and could not play today.
“Aubameyang has a temperature for two days and is a doubt, he came with us and made a good impact and felt good in 30 minutes.
“Today Koscielny came with us in the squad but with some pain. He said to us he was not ready to play the match.
“There was a good response from other players because we have players who work hard, who decided to play and help us.
“We are going to play a lot of matches – next Sunday, after two very hard matches against Napoli – we need players, to give them some chances, different minutes, systems and tactical ideas each match.
“We need everybody.”
