AS Roma’s Cengiz Under is keen to move to the Premier League at the end of the season, according to a report on Tuesday.

ESPN write that their sources inform them Under would be keen on a transfer to England if he leaves AS Roma next summer. Various Premier League sides have already spent time scouting the winger, including Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. However, they add the 21-year-old isn’t considering a January move.

As mentioned in previous reports on Under, ESPN also confirm that Roma are looking to get the player tied down to a new contract. The Serie A side want to include a buyout clause in the deal worth around £40-50m.

That wouldn’t put the Turkish international completely out of Arsenal’s price range, considering the club have spent more than £40m on the likes of Mesut Özil, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang recently.

However, those were all established big names when Arsenal made their move. Presumably, the Gunners would have to be just as sure about Under’s capability to reach the same level before splashing out.

Under has three goals and five assists in 12 appearances so far this season, playing in the right-wing position where Arsenal could do with reinforcements. If Sven Mislintat’s scouting team really are keeping track of him right now, they’ll be impressed.
