Arsenal held a coaching clinic in Lagos late last month, connecting with fans and coaches in Nigeria alongside their telecommunications partner MTN.

CompleteSportsNigeria report that Arsenal held the clinic between Friday 26th and Sunday 28th October at the Legacy pitch, National Stadium Surulere Lagos. Participants spent some time learning about the game in the classroom, as well as spending time out on the pitches putting that learning into action.

Arsenal legend Lauren also signed autographs and took pictures with fans at the Ikeja City Mall.

At the end of the clinic, the children taking part were awarded certificates for their participation. According to the CompleteSportsNigeria report, the aim of the whole event was to promote grassroots football in Nigeria, and the message Arsenal were sending was “be together, act with class, always move forward”.

As always, it’s great to see Arsenal promoting these sorts of messages around the world, as well as giving the next generation of footballers the chance to learn from one of the top clubs in the game today. Hopefully, those who attended the clinic got a lot from it.
