Ivan Gazidis to AC Milan is a story that just refuses to quit.
The 53-year-old has been the subject of much speculation this summer, none of which he has shut down in any fashion. In fact, he’s said nothing at all, leading many to believe there must be some truth to the reports.
Now, the Daily Telegraph report that he is mulling over an offer that would see him earn an extra £1m-per-year on top of his current £2.6m salary.
Financial powerhouse, Bloomberg, believed Gazidis was set to start the job at the start of September, however, it is thought he has to give 12-months notice to leave his role at Arsenal.
While it is unlikely Arsenal will hold him to the full duration of his notice period, it is improbable that they will be able to replace him in the next 10 days if they have not already begun looking for a new CEO.
Milan now reportedly want an answer by the start of September and hope that the offer of more money will be enough to lure him away.
