Watford will demand £40m for Richarlison this summer as Arsenal continue to be linked with the winger along with a host of other top clubs.
Arsenal have been linked with the Watford man since the tail-end of last year but they aren’t alone. Chelsea, PSG, and Monaco are all supposed to be interested, as is a side from the Chinese Premier League.
Richarlison, for his part, is said to be keen on a summer move to enable him to move up a level.
In January, the Watford Observer claimed sources close to the 20-year-old revealed Richarlison would like a move in the summer, and he’s already thinking about a transfer.
The Brazilian made a fantastic start to life in England this season.
In his first 17 league matches, he scored five goals and assisted five.
Since then, however, it’s all dried up a little for him. He sits on the same goals and assists tally but with 36 appearances under his belt as defenders in the Premier League wise up to him. His last goal was in November against West Ham – 22 matches ago.
Richarlison was dropped for the Hornet’s game against Bournemouth last weekend. He was on the bench again this weekend against Burnley and got a total of 14 minutes across both games.
An £11m transfer from Fluminese last summer, Richalison is under contract until 2022. Give his contract length and age, it’s not hard to see why Watford want £40m for him.
Arsenal have reportedly already been in touch with Richarlison’s manager, Renato Velasco.
