Arsenal’s new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has reportedly reassured Arsene Wenger that he won’t have any trouble with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to the Telegraph, Mislintat has reassured Wenger that Aubameyang won’t be a trouble-maker once he completes his move to Arsenal.

There have been concerns raised over Aubameyang’s behaviour since Arsenal were linked with a move for him. The striker is said to have a bad attitude after being reprimanded three times in the last 15 months for his off-pitch antics.

The 28-year-old was left out of Dortmund’s match against Wolfsburg because he failed to turn up to a team meeting and back in November he was suspended by Peter Bosz for ill-discipline.

The Gabon international has also been left out of the Bundesliga’s side to face Hertha tonight (Friday), with sporting director Michael Zorc saying: “We have the feeling that he is not one hundred percent in the thing with his head.

“He’s training in Dortmund, let’s see if that helps, it’s a difficult situation.”

You can understand why some Arsenal fans and Wenger might be a little anxious about bringing the striker on board. We’ve (almost) got rid of one man-baby with Alexis Sanchez’s impending move to Manchester United, we don’t need another one coming in.

Perhaps Aubameyang just needs a fresh start and that can happen in north London.

Dortmund are reportedly asking for around £55m, which almost seems cheap considering how prolific the striker has been for the German side. He’s already scored 21 goals in 23 goals this term.

Anyone would think they’re not that bothered about letting him go…
