Jens Lehmann has been pictured returning from Germany, amid speculation that Arsenal could be negotiating a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Lehmann just so happened to be spotted by Arsenal fan Dom Crofts on his way back from Germany. In these crazy times, it can be easy to jump to conclusions.
For example, an ex-Dortmund player and current Arsenal coach happened to be in Germany right when the club are supposedly trying to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
THIS MAN. Now I may be adding two and two together & coming up with five, but I’d say that – given what else has happened today – an ex-Dortmund keeper & Arsenal coach flying back from Germany pretty much confirms there is some serious Aubameyang stuff on the horizon. #afc pic.twitter.com/uO23FF0RII

It’s also entirely possible that he was there on unrelated business. After all, one would think Lehmann wouldn’t be involved in the transfer process at all. It’d be a mighty coincidence, but he could have been there on personal business.
Rumours about Aubameyang are flying at the moment. It was reported on Tuesday that Arsenal are trying to sign the 28-year-old in the event that Alexis Sanchez leaves this month.
It’d be a real statement signing from the club, and one fans still can’t believe can happen.
Nonetheless, efforts are being made, and we’ll have to see if anything comes from it, or if we’ll just end up failing like everyone expects us to.
