Arsenal’s u18s came back from 2-0 down to draw with Fulham at London Colney, and the Gunners ended up disappointed not to win.

Arsenal were on a winning run of seven matches going into the game and looking to the keep that going.

Fulham started strongly though, and immediately put that record under threat.

The visiting side scored two goals before the break. One from Jose Garrido, and the other from Timmy Abraham, brother of the Chelsea striker on loan at Swansea City.

The Gunners had a lot of work to do to turn things round in the second period, going in 2-0 down.

Despite the scoreline though, Arsenal were on top for much of the first half.

They had 15 shots, with five on target, to Fulham’s three shots and two on target. A standard performance from the Gunners, then.

They made a more clinical start to the second period, scoring after 58 minutes to reduce the deficit.

Xavier Amaechi got the goal, just over a week after signing a professional contract with Arsenal. Trae Coyle assisted in his first appearance since signing professional terms of his own.

Then, with 10 minutes to go, Robbie Burton scored a screamer to put the Gunners back on terms.

It was Burton’s first goal of the season, although he has contributed four assists in his other seven matches.

Arsenal continued to push hard for a winner, reaching 30 shots for the match.

Fulham, on the other hand, didn’t have a single shot in the second half.

The Gunners couldn’t find that winner, unfortunately, and the match ended 2-2.

Hopefully they can get back to winning ways next game.
