Arsenal are reportedly set to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Goncalo Guedes.

Arsenal are allegedly set to make another approach for PSG winger, Guedes, in the summer as they hunt for Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez’s replacements.

Despite the 21-year-old only signing for the Ligue 1 giants for €30m in January, the Gunners are reportedly hopeful that they’ll secure their man.

PSG need to balance their books after forking out an eye-watching £366m for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and could therefore be willing to sell… Even though the Portuguese international’s contract doesn’t run out until 2021.

Guedes is currently on a season-long loan at Valencia and has been huge for the Spanish team, netting three goals and providing five assists in 11 La Liga appearances.

If the name Goncalo Guedes sounds familiar, it should. Arsenal have been linked with the Portuguese winger since he was at Benfica two years ago.

When he was 19, Arsenal allegedly sent scouts to watch Guedes and even had a meeting with him over a move.

The winger was then linked with Manchester United, City, Juventus, Everton, Liverpool and Inter Milan. However, Benfica were reportedly asking for £51m as the teenager still had until 2021 on his contract with them. A massive sum for such a young player.

As Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ran down his contract in north London, Guedes was linked as his replacement and we supposedly continued to scout him until December 2016.

A month later, he signed for PSG.
