Arsenal are close to finalising a deal for Borussia Dortmund ‘super scout’ Sven Mislintat, according to Sport Bild.
Borussia Dortmund head scout Sven Mislintat could soon be on his way to Arsenal.
According to Sport Bild, Arsenal have agreed to pay a six-figure compensation fee to Borussia Dortmund for the so-called super scout.
He could join up with the club by the end of 2017.
Mislintat has been Dortmund’s chief scout since 2007 and has identified a number of excellent players over the years.
Robert Lewandowski, Shinji Kagawa, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ousmane Dembele and Raphael Guerreiro are just some of the names that he’s scouted and recommended to the club.
Many of these players have made vital contributions to Dortmund’s success under Jurgen Klopp.

Mislintat could be coming as a replacement for current chief scout Steve Rowley.
Rowley has been Arsenal’s head scout since 1997 and also has an impressive track record of talent he’s identified over the years however he is expected to leave his role while still working on ‘special projects’ according to a few reports.
The move to bring in Mislintat is part of a wider recruitment drive that’s seen some changes made to the backroom team at the club.
Huss Fahmy, Darren Burgess, and Jens Lehmann were signed during the summer.
Meanwhile, the club is also on the lookout for a sporting director, with Michael Zorc the latest to be linked.
