AC Milan and Marseille are both reportedly keen to sign former Arsenal midfielder, Oguzhan Ozyakup.

Milan and Marseille are said to have joined the race to sign Ozzie, which until now Arsenal were allegedly involved in, according to Haberin Gundemi that is.

The 25-year-old’s contract with Besiktas runs out at the end of the season and it doesn’t appear that he’s willing to stay after being at the Turkish club since 2012.

Besiktas apparently haven’t made more effort to sell him and cash in sooner because the Gunners still have a 30% sell-on clause in the midfielder’s contract. Therefore, they’ve been stalling and recently president Fikret Orman supposedly held talks with Arsenal in order to try and remove it. However, the Gunners refused and here we are.

Ozzie was at Arsenal for four years and although he failed to make a single league appearance while in north London, he’s gone on to become a key man at Besiktas, making almost 200 appearances, scoring 27 goals and providing 45 assists.

He’s also been capped 32 times for Turkey.

Will Ozzie want to retrace his old steps and come back to north London? Or will he prefer a fresh start? Only time will tell.
