Arsenal continued their good form with a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

It was all panic and chaos at the end of the August, but Arsenal have now won six of their last seven games, and only match they didn’t win was a 0-0 draw against Chelsea.

It’s been a great week for the team, securing three wins and successfully managing a mid-week trip to Belarus in the process. It wasn’t always pretty, but we can’t complain with the points.

Brighton at home should have been a straightforward game. Although the performance wasn’t the best we’ll ever see, we did just enough to see off mediocre opposition thanks to goals from Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi.

So, here’s how the player’s did.

Alex Iwobi 6

Iwobi tried to be positive whenever he got the ball, even if it didn’t always come off for him. There was a touch of rustiness to his play, but he took his goal very well.

Alexis Sanchez 7

He had a quiet first half but came to life in the second. He was responsible for most of Arsenal’s chances, and set-up the second goal of the same with a wonderful back-heel. The Chilean is an exciting player and that second-half showing was the most electric we’ve seen him since coming back into the starting line-up.

Alexandre Lacazette 6

Hit the post early on with a very-well struck effort from distance, but would have been disappointed not to have gotten onto the score-sheet. His touch was also heavy at times.
