AC Milan are interested in Arsenal midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide, according to latest reports in Italy.

Calciomercato claim that the Serie A giants have looked at a number of youngsters they consider to have a bright future but who may not be as well known as the likes of Kylian Mbappé or Ousmane Dembélé. Reine-Adelaide is believed to be a player on such list.

The French u19 international first impressed fans with his performances in the Emirates Cup in 2015, after joining from Lens that year. However, Alex Iwobi broke through into the first-team at the same time, and as a result Reine-Adelaide’s chances were limited.

And when it seemed like he might start getting more opportunities with the team, the 19-year-old picked up an injury and struggled to get back into contention. There was the potential for a loan this summer to Bolton Wanderers, which would have allowed the player some game time, but unfortunately this fell through on deadline day.

Last season, Reine-Adelaide made six first-team appearances between the two cup competitions for Arsenal. The teenage midfielder should get further chances this season, potentially starting with Doncaster Rovers at the Emirates on September 20.

If he doesn’t, then maybe a move to Italy would start to seem more appealing.
